The mission of Tbilisi University “Metekhi” aims at the successful development of self-oriented higher educational background in accordance with the principles of Georgian academic heritage and the values of the European educational institutions. Academic integration – Intercultural, international and inter-regional academic integration favors the facilitation of academic mobility, development of visiting professors’ programs, implementation of distance learning and exchange of academic stuff aiming to the enrichment of the professional background in the leading European higher educational institutions.
Student-oriented education - Tbilisi University “Metekhi” promotes the active participation of students in the university management and the dynamic development of the university. The priority of the university is to reveal and consider the interests and the needs of the students. The policy of the university specified by the student-oriented education underlines the importance of the friendly academic environment being characterized by the promotion of social, academic, cultural and professional services. The university provides the foreign students with the additional academic and social services for the better adaptation and integration in the Georgian reality.
Permanent self-development – permanent self-development conveys in itself the evaluation of the university priorities, development strategy, academic programs and methods, personnel and resources. The conducting process of evaluation can be authorized by the university itself, by the staff and the students of the university, independent evaluation institutions, national and international accreditation organizations.
